About the Instructor

Jennifer Gagliardi
Film and Media Education Coordinator 

Jennifer Gagliardi is The Plaza’s Film and Media Education Coordinator. She is responsible for coordinating the media arts program for children and teens, as well as curating The Cineaste and Book to Screen series. Jennifer obtained her BA in English Literature from St. Joseph’s College, and her MA in Art History and Criticism with a Certificate in Cultural Studies from Stony Brook University. Throughout both degrees she has focused on film studies, and has written in depth on moving image theories, interactive spectatorship, death in contemporary cinema, and genre studies. Her work has been presented at several conferences, including SUNY Oneonta New Critics, The Mid Atlantic Popular American Culture Association conference, and the St. Joseph’s College Research Symposium. She also won the Callahan Library Research Award for her undergraduate thesis. She is currently an adjunct professor in the St. Joseph’s College English Department.
