Jeanne Anselmo, Chan Bao Thu, ordained in 1995 as a lay monastic in Thich Nhat Hanh’s Order of Interbeing and received lamp transmission as a teacher (Dharmacharya) by Thich Nhat Hanh in Plum Village in 2011. She is a Senior Fellow in Applied Psychophysiology and Biofeedback and Certified Holistic Nurse, who has been practicing contemplative and holistic nursing arts for over thirty-five years. Jeanne cofounded the Contemplative Urban Law Program at City University School of Law in 2001 and is a faculty member of the Merton Contemplative Initiative at Iona College in New Rochelle, NY and a founding member of the Green Island Sangha/Community of Mindfulness Long Island. Jeanne teaches mindfulness and offers retreats for nurses, helping professionals, law students/lawyers and those interested in inter-contemplative dialogue in both the U.S. and Ireland.
